About Laleh
I grew up in a family where helping one another was the norm. Our family wasn’t big, so my parents often shared that the hardest part of leaving their homeland was being away from their village, that larger network of support. Their sentiment stayed with me, and as they aged, I felt it was my honor to care for them.
Years went by, I started a family of my own, and eventually, my parents passed away surrounded by loved ones.
The journey, however, was filled with challenges as they struggled to maintain their independence. My mom had dementia, and my dad needed support with mobility, technology, meal prep, and errands. I juggled managing my own kids and my own life while constantly brainstorming solutions for everyone in the family.
Along the way, the lessons learned from caring for them became a source of support for others as well. Friends began turning to me for guidance with their own aging-parent challenges. I became an expert in planning ahead and problem solving, all the while noticing the lack of support for “bridge caregivers” caught between generations like me.
Looking back, I see how keenly my parents understood the value of It Takes a Village — not just for raising children, but also for helping older adults age with grace.
In their spirit, and to support both seniors and the family caregivers who now find themselves where I once was, I created Bridge Care Services. My team and I are committed to bringing you clarity, simplifying your life, and building the bridges that support you.
